Message from Pastor Oral Hazell
When I learned of the death of my good friend and co-laborer in the Kingdom, Muriel Weekes Ylestin, I expressed a deep sense of sadness. Muriel, was a friend that you can share “ church stuff “ with and she will keep it and winnow over it and pray skillfully over the situation for a breakthrough and a breakout of that situation that you were facing. We will truly miss her pleasant personality, tenacious - spirit and caring heart.
Muriel, lived a life giving of herself and gifts to serve others in our island(s) community and faith community. We will truly miss her tenacity in prayer; she knew how to pray through to touch God on the behalf of others. Muriel was a woman of the word. One day we were sharing revelation on God’s word and she told me she has to go home to check on the different Bible translations that were on her bed, so that, she can get the understanding of the word. She was a woman of God who slept with the word.
Muriel, was a Master Prophet to the individual, church and the nation. Muriel, was not afraid to declare the prophetic word of God in the earth. She also taught other prophets at the school of the prophets. Muriel knew how to flow skillfully with her Apostolic Leadership to get the Kingdom of God moving in the right prophetic flow in her sphere of influence.
Muriel, was a preacher’s preacher she knew how to dig deep into the word and to compare scripture with scripture to produce the God reveled word to His people locally and internationally. Muriel was a woman of: trust, compassion, courage, an excellent– spirit, zealous – faith and purpose. She will truly be missed in our community.
My wife and I offer our sincerest condolences to the entire Weekes, Ylestin, Wilkins and Christian Fellowship Christian Center church family. May your sorrow be somewhat diminished by memories of the: sermons, laughter, prayers, love and joy you shared with Muriel.
